North LA Chapter - CAMB

New to this site

I have always known that there were more Solórzano's out there after I realized that I actually had 3rd cousins in Mexico that I have never known. I am glad to know that my name extends past my own immediate family and that others out there might be closely related to me. I am always fond of discovering more relatives on either side of my parent's families.

Back in high school, a long long time ago, I stumbled upon a book in a used book store in Ventura, CA with a friend. Inside was written the history of the name Solórzano, that dates back to the 1500's. It was the first time I had known that my last name went back that far in time to northern Spain, and now I carry the very same name that many others also carry. It was a very cool experience to walk into that book store and find that book.

Now I hope to learn more about my genealogy and trace back to my ancestors, and perhaps discover other relatives or close descendants along the way.
