Mi hermana Jovanka Solórzano encontró e hizo copias de este libro en uno de sus viajes, volumen 83 de 86.
Estos libros fueron escritos entre 1920 y 1963 (tomó 40 años para terminas los 83 volúmenes) por los hermanos Alberto y Arturo García Carraffa.

By cross-referencing our family records with information on the web about Juan Rodriguez Carrillo (who explored the California coast) and his family, I was able to determine that:

I have always known that there were more Solórzano's out there after I realized that I actually had 3rd cousins in Mexico that I have never known. I am glad to know that my name extends past my own immediate family and that others out there might be closely related to me. I am always fond of discovering more relatives on either side of my parent's families.

Tanto éste como la iglesia están ubicadas en el municipio homónimo al apellido.
El origen de los SOLORZANO se remonta al año 713 d.C, cuando los visigodos comandados por el Rey Don Rodrigo, pierden la batalla contra los moros cerca de Toledo.

The mountainous area of Asturias, isolated from the rest of the Iberian Peninsula, would have remained a backwater were it not for a singular event that transformed it into the most significant area of Spain: After the Moorish invasion of A.D. 711, Asturias offered a resistance only rivaled by that which they previously offered the Romans. The Moors overran the region as they had done in the rest of Iberia, except for the single, small stronghold of La Peña in the Cantabrian Mountains, perhaps the last portion of the peninsula which remained in Christian hands.
